PSUMB participated in Saint Ursula Senior High School Open House with new songs after practicing diligently to prepare the performance.

On 22 July 2023, MB performed for the Open House event in Saint Ursula Senior High School with new songs, such as “Dancing Queen”, “Year of The Dragon”, and last but not least, “Uptown Funk”. Andreas Manalu as a head coach chose this song and PSUMB members have to follow the instructions and practice to perform. That was such a refreshing performance after for the last few years performing the “Can’t Take My Eyes Of You” song. Ivana as the Head of Training said “From the song Uptown Funk, I hope the audience will be more enjoyable when listening and watching our performance because there are some extra stage acts”.Going home in the evening or even the night has become a routine as a preparation, either for practicing or washing and cleaning the instruments that are going to be used. Of course, to perform in this routine school event, all of the members must practice even before the first day of the new academic year. As for
the music players, members learned the sheet music while color guard members learned the movements. Preparation on the day of performance was to make up all of the members starting from 5 A.M.
To support the performance, alumni of PSUMB come to school. “Alumni’s commitment to taking time off from their college schedules to visit MB and offer their assistance makes a strong bond within the organization”, said Ivana. The alumni of PSUMB assist the junior band members on days when the Marching Band performs by helping in the tool equipment. The alumni not only show up for major events such as Open House, GPMB, and 17's, and also during regular rehearsals whenever they can make time.MB performances have been spectacular for a long time by winning the GPMB in 2019 and being invited to perform at the State Palace for Indonesia's independence day. Ivana has a message for the subordinates to keep up the enthusiasm to improve the MB standard and hopes to be able to take part in the GPMB in the future.
